Air travel

Hamburg Airport has 69 airlines operating flights direct to 18 national destinations and 98 international destinations. The Airport is located in the Northern part of the city, in the district of Fuhlsbüttel. You can find your flight connection on the Hamburg Airport website or use our flight search.

Travel from the airport to the Hamburg Fair site is by S-Bahn (rapid transit train), Line S1, which takes about 25 minutes; or by taxi, which takes about 20 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

From the airport to the Hamburg Fair site or CCH by S-Bahn

From the Airport, take S-Bahn S1 towards Wedel, and get off at Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Change across the platform to take S-Bahn S21 or S31, taking you to Dammtor (1 stop) or Sternschanze (2 stops).

From Dammtor station, it is just a few minutes walk to CCH or to the East Entrance of the Hamburg Fair site. From Sternschanze station, it is just a few minutes walk to the West Entrance or Central Entrance.

Travel time: travel by S-Bahn from the Airport to the Hamburg Fair or to the main entrance of CCH takes about 25 minutes.

Travel cost:

A single ticket costs EUR 2.70. A day ticket costs EUR 6.30 per person.

The normal cost for a taxi from the Airport to Hamburg Fair or CCH is
about EUR 21.00. There are no fixed journey prices for taxis in Hamburg.
